Robert Hunt is a multi-dimensional artist whose accomplishments range across the spectrum of classical and popular styles and encompass organ and piano performance, conducting, arranging and church music. Rob is Associate Professor of Music at Lone Star College-Kingwood, and is the new conductor of the Kingwood Pops Orchestra. He is coming to FPC-K after serving as Organist and Choirmaster of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in The Woodlands for the past six years.
Robert Hunt has enjoyed a varied life in music, which includes diverse positions such as Music Director of the Midland-Odessa Symphony, Music Director for country-pop artist Ray Price, and Music Director for the American Cabaret Company in New York. He has also played with such diverse artists as Willie Nelson, The Moody Blues, and opera star Susan Graham.
A lifelong church musician, Rob has served in various denominations, including Baptist, Christian, Lutheran, and Presbyterian Churches, including Memorial Drive in Houston and First, Richardson. Rob will begin February 1 and his duties will include playing organ, conducting the choir as needed, and other special musical projects that utilize his varied talents.
Rob lives in The Woodlands with his wife Jackie and has two grown children who are also professional musicians. Welcome!
