Rev. Sabrina Hergert

Sabrina Hergert is passionate about God’s authentic Word; the forgiveness found in Jesus Christ; and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Certified for ordination in ECO, Sabrina is excited to join the First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood team! She will equip and empower disciples in Christ to share the Gospel and then fulfill our call to make disciples. Teaching, preaching, and organizing are some of her gifts.
A 1989 graduate of Texas A&M University, Sabrina earned a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2014. She served in missions at Grace Presbyterian Church from 2012-2018 and concurrently as a seminary intern at First Presbyterian Church of Pearland in 2013-14. She was greatly influenced by the late Rev. Dr Casey Jones in areas such as pastoral care, Christian education, and church leadership.
Sabrina and her husband, Mike, enjoy cooking, reading, travelling, watching movies, and being outdoors. They have three adult children who bring them great joy. Matthew works outdoors as a Wilderness Ranger in Olympic National Park. Benjamin attends UPenn’s School of Design in the architecture graduate program. And Elizabeth is a Rice Owl studying sociology and pre-law. Sabrina’s hobbies include photography, following IndyCar racing, and scoring the Astros.
