Music is central to the worship life of First Presbyterian Church-Kingwood!
We believe that music is an effective tool for teaching the Christian faith and scriptures, and that the music of the church is an offering to the glory of God. The music for weekend-worship services is carefully selected to support and reflect the sermon theme and Scripture.
The music ministry provides a program of graded vocal, instrumental and hand bell choirs, giving people of all ages an opportunity to minister, grow in faith and develop Christian leadership and a lifetime of service to God and the church through music. We strive to create beauty and inspiration as well as lead the congregation into authentic worship.
The choir experience includes learning and singing great hymns and anthems, skills in singing and music reading, and special activities for fellowship and service. Each of our choirs enthusiastically welcomes and encourages new members, both the greatly experienced and the dedicated beginner-the only qualification is a true desire to serve God and the church.
